Connecting Generations of Family Businesses… The Family Business Institute helps connect generations of family business. We do this by encouraging family businesses to develop a strong set of core values, capable leadership, effective strategy, and the ability to generate and pass on adequate capital to sustain and grow the business for generations.
We endeavor to share openly with one another, conducting ourselves at all times in a professional and ethical manner. The Institute is member-driven, prohibits solicitation of family business members, and supports an environment of mutual trust.
Furthermore, healthy relationships require trust, and for trust and camaraderie to flourish the Family Business Institute of East Tennessee believes that member privacy should be protected. Therefore, FBIET closely monitors its non-solicitation policy and its commitment to confidentiality. Simply stated, business solicitation by corporate members and sponsors is strictly prohibited in all of our programming. Because the Institute is designed to be an environment for open and continuous learning for all participants, most of our programs, particularly Peer Roundtables and Assessments, are strictly confidential. However, it is the policy of the Institute that any information shared in our gatherings, whether or not specifically described as confidential, will be treated as confidential by all participants.
